Job Vacancy Notice
In
collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Nepal
Public Health Research and Development Center (PHRD Nepal) is hiring personnel
on a contractual basis to conduct field data collection for the upcoming Nepal
Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2081 (Nepal Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey
2024), which is set to be implemented by the National Statistics Office.
Qualified and interested Nepali citizens meeting the required qualifications
are invited to submit their applications within 10 (ten) days from the date of
this notice. The application form can be downloaded from the institution's
website at www.phrdnepal.org.np, and filled forms along with the required documents can be submitted

submitted directly to the office. Incomplete applications or those submitted
after the deadline will not be considered.
Vacancy Detail:
1. Position: Enumerator (Male/Female)
Number of Vacancies: 52 (Female)
Number of Vacancies: 22 (Male)
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Completion
of Proficiency Certificate Level (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized
educational institution (Preference will be given to those who have studied
Mathematics or Statistics).
2. Position: Measurer
Number of Vacancies: 17
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Completion
of Proficiency Certificate Level (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized
educational institution (Preference will be given to those who have studied
Biology or Chemistry).
Documents to be submitted with the application:
- Certified copy of the minimum educational qualification certificate and character certificate.
- Certified copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.
- Certified copies of experience certificates.
Age Limit:
- On the last date of application submission, the applicant must be at least 18 years old and should not exceed 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
Service Benefits:
- The initial salary scale will be as per the second class of Nepal Government's gazetted officers. For field data collection work, daily allowance and travel expenses will be provided according to the prevalent travel expense regulations of the Government of Nepal.
Selection Method:
- Shortlisting and Interview based on educational qualification and experience.
- 2 points for having
worked in the Nepal Multiple Indicator Survey previously conducted by the
National Statistics Office.
- 2 points for passing
in a subject given priority under the minimum educational qualifications.
- Up to 3 points
based on the class/grade obtained when meeting the minimum educational
qualifications.
- Except in the case of a tie, no more than 30% more than the specified number of candidates will be shortlisted.
Contract Duration:
- A maximum of 6 months (including one month of training).
Work Location:
- Data collection will be carried out in any local level across Nepal, selected as part of the survey's sample.
Job Description:
Enumerator (Female/Male):
- Visit the assigned local level and enumeration area to collect data using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Numerator:
- Visit the assigned local level and the designated enumeration area to measure the weight and height of children under 5 years of age.
- Test the quality of drinking water used by households.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
