TikTok has reopened in Nepal
The Nepal Telecommunications Authority today, unblocked all of the restrictions it had put to TikTok earlier. The authority in a notice uploaded on Friday said that all the Internet Service Providers and the Mobile Service Providers have been directed to unblock the application.
It was announced after utilization of the authority under section 15 of the Telecommunication Act of 2053 in which the government had informed earlier in 6th Bhadra, 2081 as the government went to unblock TikTok. The Cabinet had given its nod to reopen TikTok on 6th Bhadra, but it came with certain harsh conditionalities that it has to follow.
Since Ministry of Communications has referred the case to Cabinet to reopen TikTok social networking site this case was made in accordance with the instruction given by the Prime Minister Mr. K.P Sharma Oli on 24th Shrawan 2081 during the meeting with Ministry of Communication, Secretary, and officials of Nepal Telecommunications Authority. bulk of the information in the directive concerning social elations media was based on the fact that all forms social relations media are equal and formation of desirable and laudable rules and regulations.
